With the quickly escalating situation in Green Bay, Aaron Rodgers’s future is in question. One NBA player, Anthony Davis, sympathized with his situation but declined to comment on the matter.

After 16 years with Green Bay, Aaron Rodgers might move on this offseason. In the moments preceding this year’s draft, news broke of the reigning league MVP being “disgruntled” with the organization and requesting a trade.
The most common consensus says that Rodgers is specifically upset with the front office’s decision to draft Jordan Love in 2020. Of course, Rodgers has not actually directly clarified his position yet.
However, reasonably reliable sources claim that Rodgers wants GM Brian Gutekunst fired. If this doesn’t happen, some claim, the QB is ready to hold out or even retire.
It’s a tricky situation, but realistically both parties can be faulted. That being said, it appears that the pressure is on the Packers to make a decision.
In the meantime, the world of sports will follow the situation closely. With the recent trend in pro sports making it acceptable for star players to “demand” a trade, there’s no shortage of players who can relate to Rodgers’s situation.
One such player, Lakers forward Anthony Davis, weighed in on the discussion on a Twitch stream. “Man, I don’t want to talk about Aaron Rodgers right now,” Davis said when prompted.
“Come on chat, don’t do that to me. I thought we were better than that. You know how I feel about that. … But if anybody understands (chat), you know I understand.”

Anthony Davis Requested Trade From Pelicans in 2019
Similar to the Packers signal caller’s issue, Davis was also frustrated by a lack of weapons in NOLA. Eventually, he got what he wanted when he was traded to the Lakers.
It was a trade that was relatively balanced. Davis helped the Lakers win a ring in last year’s “bubble” and the Pelicans received a package that included Lonzo Ball and Brandon Ingram.
Rodgers has been linked with teams like the Broncos, who could certainly benefit from his services. However, it’s too early to say if it will materialize or what a trade offer might look like.
