Tim Tebow will be one of the most interesting players to follow this preseason. The QB-turned-TE has a shot at making the Jags 53 man roster. But he hasn’t gotten off to the greatest start.

Tim Tebow hasn’t stepped foot on an NFL field in over 8 years, through which he also made an attempt at playing baseball and being a college football analyst. The 33-year-old former QB for the Broncos and the Jets spent his collegiate career playing under Urban Meyers for the Florida Gators where he won the Heisman Trophy and 2 National Championships.

How Tebow, the 25th overall pick of the 2010 draft, looked and how he competed at a tryout for the team has already been lauded, and QB Trevor Lawrence has likewise been impressed by the 33-year-old’s ability to grasp the Jaguars’ offence and scheme. But that did not translate on the Field Saturday night.

Unless you can make a wide receiver-like impact as a pass-catcher, you need to be able to block at the tight end position. So far, there is no indication that Tebow is up to the task, at least based on tonight’s preseason game against the Cleveland Browns.Or at least Today’s game did not showcase that.

Tim Tebow was lucky that Defensive End Curtis Weaver got caught in the misdirection. Otherwise, Tebow’s error could have been way more glaring. To cap off a miserable night, Tebow had 0 catches in the game. He was the likely target on one pass down the field, but had it robbed by teammate Tavon Austin.
