The Kansas City Chiefs are still looking like the team to beat in the AFC, even after an offseason filled with analysts picking their division rivals to win the division. This past offseason, the Raiders, Broncos, and Chargers all made moves to win now.

However, the Chiefs traded away an integral piece of their offense in Tyreek Hill and still are one of the best offenses in the league. Many fans and analysts thought this would finally be the year another team but the Chiefs would win the division. But Patrick Mahomes had other plans.
Mahomes has proven once again this year that he is one of the best, if not the best, quarterback in the league. He has also backed this up with his play on the fantasy football field, ranking 2nd in points. Mahomes is averaging 25.1 points per game.

Although Mahomes does not pose much of a threat as a rushing quarterback, he still has that dimension if the defense forces him to play that way. In this aspect, Jalen Hurts of the Philadelphia Eagles is much more well rounded.

Russell Wilson has become the problem, not the solution
When the Broncos traded away a haul of picks and players for Russell Wilson from the Seattle Seahawks, they thought they would finally be a contender. However, the exact opposite has happened. Wilson is being seen as the problem, and not the solution to the team.
When Wilson entered, the defense was considered to be one of the best in the league that was just one quarterback away from the Super Bowl. Wilson was seen to be the missing piece in the Broncos’ plans, but he is struggling beyond imagination.
Wilson was a longtime dual threat as a rushing and passing quarterback who could be the best quarterback in fantasy in any given week. But now, Wilson is 21st in points in fantasy and averaging a measly 13.2 per game.

The once dual threat quarterback is now unable to throw touchdowns and push the ball down the field. Consistently losing low scoring games, Wilson is almost a bench worthy candidate every week.
Clearly, the start of the week is Patrick Mahomes. Mahomes is facing a good Broncos defense, but with a bad Broncos offense, he is bound to get plenty of chances to score.
Oh and also, Mahomes has never lost to the Broncos in his career.
