During a recent appearance on WFAN, the veteran quarterback revealed that although he was positive about shifting bases to New York, his transition from the Packers to the Jets has been even better than he had initially expected. Since joining the franchise, Rodgers seems to have gained back his mojo and is determined to win the Super Bowl for the second time in his career.
Aaron Rodgers is Living His Dream in New York
Rodgers had a tough decision to make ahead of the 2023 off-season regarding his future in the league. Finally, after a four-day darkness retreat, Rodgers revealed that he will shift bases to New York. While his fans were a bit nervous about this move, thankfully, in Rodgers’ own words, his time with the Jets has been a lot better than he had imagined.
The veteran quarterback, as per WFAN, recently compared his initial few months in New York to living the dream. He also talked about pinching himself sometimes to make him realize that whatever is happening is real and not fictitious. “It’s really been better that I could have expected,” Rodgers said. “It feels like sometimes that I woke up inside of a dream and that this is my life playing out. I pinch myself at various times throughout the week every single week that I’ve been here.”
Aaron Rodgers has taken to New York like a fish to water and has received a lot of love since joining the franchise in April. The quarterback too has done his part for the franchise by agreeing to a $35 Million pay cut last month after which, his popularity has gone way up.
Aaron Rodgers Has Fond Memories From His Time With The Packers
Aaron Rodgers recently revealed how things are with his ex-team, the Green Bay Packers. His move to the AFC East franchise marked the end of an era in Green Bay, simply because of the legacy that he has built in the NFL so far playing for a single franchise.
Rodgers remembered his time with the Packers fondly during his conversation with Kay Adams on the Up & Adams show, claiming that he still holds a special place for a number of his former teammates. Rodgers also did not hesitate in admitting to helping out players and staff who reach out to him due to his seniority.

“I love that place. I still talk to a lot of people there. There are so many guys I care about over there. A lot of people hit me up because I am older, and all the workers, still talking to people who have been there forever,” Rodgers said. The superstar quarterback might be loving his life in New York but had no qualms in professing his love for his former franchise. This is a true portrayal of the person that he is and the amount of respect he still has for the Packers.
