What Are the Saturday Wild Card Matchups? NFL Twitter Reacts To the Start of Super Wild Card Weekend

The Jacksonville Jaguars were absolutely sensational in the Wildcard playoff clash against the Los Angeles Chargers on Saturday. They looked down and out for most part of the game but somehow, somehow they managed to turn things around and have now progressed into the next round.

Throughout the contest, the Jaguars were playing catch-up as they were absolutely annihilated in the opening quarter. A 17-point lead before the start of the second half which grew to 20 for the Chargers at halftime, almost guaranteed the victory for the team from Los Angeles.

However, the Jaguars were simply not ready to give up. After bringing the 20 point lead down to 10 before entering the final quarter, they managed to ultimately win the game from an almost impossible situation.

Is the NFL rigged?

If anyone would have told the Jaguars before the contest had started that they will win the game after falling behind by 27 points, even they would have called it a ‘too good to be true’ sort of situation. As it turns out, many fans think what transpired between the Chargers and the Jaguars is actually too good to be true.

The “NFL-rigged” debate resurfaced once again after Trevor Lawrence’s postgame interview went crazy viral on Twitter. “Down 27, how, how did you do this Trevor,” the interviewer asked Lawrence to which the Jaguars QB replied by saying, “you couldn’t write a crazier script.”

As soon as this comment from Trevor went viral, fans started coming up with all sorts of speculations. “It’s been scripted since 1997, NFL is just like WWE, totally fake,” such comments flooded Twitter.

However, at the same time, many fans also stated that while some of the refs might be incompetent, the league surely isn’t fixed. Although fans have divided opinions on the ‘rigged’ debate, Jaguars admirers would be extremely delighted with the outcome, especially after going through a painful 2021 season last time around.

It will be interesting to see how the Jaguars perform in the coming games.
