Upon Signing $30,800,000 Rookie Deal, Ja'Marr Chase Dropped $300,000 on a Swanky Rolls Royce Wraith

Ja’Marr Chase is one of the premier wide receivers in the NFL, and he spent his first money in the NFL like he was ready for the lavish lifestyle. Chase was drafted with the fifth overall pick in the 2021 NFL draft, and he signed a rookie deal worth $30.8 million, per Spotrac. Out of the first $1 million he spent, he made sure to buy a sweet ride for himself, sporting the Rolls Royce Wraith, his dream car. The car cost $300,000, but it was definitely something Chase wanted to do.

The Bengals WR had one of the best rookie seasons by a wide receiver, hauling in 1,455 yards, the second most by a rookie in the NFL. He’s built a strong connection with Joe Burrow, a connection that started when both players competed together at LSU. Chase is in for another big year with Cincinnati as they look to make another title run, and with that, he’ll continue to rake in the money, buying more and more things for himself.

How did Ja’Marr Chase spend his first $1 million?

Chase made sure to go big with his first paycheck in the NFL. Speaking to GQ, Chase gave a breakdown of just what he splurged on. His initial $1 million was spent well. Along with Chase’s $30.8 million deal, he also earned a $19 million signing bonus which meant he definitely had the money to spend.

Chase is a big sneakerhead, and he dropped $50,000 on shoes. “I’ve got some Off-White G Nikes, the Trophy Room 5s. I’ve got some real limited edition kicks,” he said. “That’s just some stuff I always wanted so I had to go get that.”

However, the very first thing that Chase bought was a car for his mother. “So, the first thing I bought was my mom’s car. That was about $65k, got her a Mazi.” Chase didn’t note which Audi, but he claims he got the idea from his dad who brought up how bad his mom’s Audi was.

“The Audi was real bad, the air stopped working in it so she’s not about to try to ride around in no hot car, so gotta get her a car ASAP.”

Finally, he made sure to go out and get his dream car, the Rolls Royce Wraith, which cost $300,000. “I’ve been wanting that car my whole life, honestly. It was either a Wraith or a Ghost, so I went with the Wraith.” The car comes with orange interior seats and a fur carpet.

With team dinners, jewelry, and a whole lot more, Chase nicely rounded out his first $1 million in the NFL. Here’s the complete video if you want to see.

Chase could be in line for a massive deal

Chase’s rookie deal is massive, but the youngster is definitely in line for a big deal. He’s one of the most exciting young prospects as a receiver, and he could be right up there with the best of the best when it comes to the money he gets.

Currently, Tyreek Hill earns the most money in the NFL as a WR, with an average salary of $30 million. Chase may not be targeting the $30 millions, but he sure could aim for something like what D.K. Metcalf and A.J. Brown are receiving, at around $24 to $25 million. All contract values come from Spotrac.

Ja’Marr Chase will make sure to play his heart out so that he can earn a substantial deal and continue to build with the Bengals.
