Aaron Rodgers and the Packers had a season to forget. The team never hit their mark, ended up with a losing record, and in a must-win game in week 18, they lost and missed the playoffs.

This was a stark contrast to the previous two seasons where the Packers enjoyed the number one seed in the NFC and were Super Bowl favorites every year.
The team struggled out of the gates, going 3-6 to begin the year. However, they turned it around, setting themselves up at 8-8 with a simple formula to make the playoffs.
All they had to do was beat the Lions and secure their spot. However, Rodgers and the offense had a subpar game as he threw for only 205 yards on 17/27 passing with 1 touchdown and 1 interception. Now, it’s back to the drawing board for Green Bay with a lot of questions to come this offseason.

Will Aaron Rodgers retire after this season?
With Rodgers’ campaign ending in yet another disappointing result, the age old question emerges again. Is this going to be the last time we saw Rodgers on a football field?
The Packers quarterback raised a lot of speculation when he refused to give his jersey over to a Lions player after the game. Why does he want to hold on to this jersey so bad, when nothing meaningful happened and the Packers lost?
Jameson Williams asked Aaron Rodgers for his jersey after the game.
Aaron’s response: “I’m gonna hold on to this one.”

Rodgers has achieved everything a quarterback could ask for in his career in Green Bay. However, given his generational talent, it feels like the Packers wasted his career. Winning only one Super Bowl with him serves as the biggest reminder.
It doesn’t look like the Packers are making any major moves going forward either. They lost Davante Adams last offseason, the one receiver Rodgers consistently trusted and vouched for.
Now, there isn’t much to cheer for in Green Bay. Rodgers doesn’t want to deal with disappointment like this all the time, and he may just be done chasing that ‘one more title.’
