KXIP will host CSK tonight, as Ravi Ashwin’s side will be looking to pick up another win and their first at their home ground this season.

Ashwin’s side has shown promise this year, as the Punjab side are close to finding their optimum squad balance. Ashwin has been a very competent leader, as the veteran player has garnered respect from his team mates.

Ashwin will be super motivated for this match, as the off spinner will be keen to get one over his former team Chennai Super Kings. CSK did not go back in for Ashwin, as the legendary Chennai player will be looking show it to them that it was a mistake.

Dhoni will be pretty pleased with this season so far, as his CSK side have picked up two wins from their first two matches. What will please Dhoni the most is the fact that CSK have managed to win their matches, in spite of not playing really well.

CSK won two amazing matches, as the Chennai franchise got over the line in two last over thrillers. In spite of a few off-field issues, Dhoni will want to ensure that his team keep their focus and concentrate on picking up their third win on the trot.

Raina will be absent through injury, which is why Stephen Fleming has mentioned that Rayudu may get the nod at number three.

“[Ambati] Rayudu has got experience all through the order. Someone like [Dhruv] Shorey and Murali Vijay are more suited to opening. But we’ve got to balance that in our final discussions – whether it’s worth keeping that combination together.”

The weather report is great as well, as their seems to be no chance of rain tonight, ensuring a full game between CSK and KXIP.
