With the Nvidia RTX 3060Ti being released today, here is all you need to know about the new GPU! We also included how it performs against the RTX 2060 Super to give you an idea of the performance boost.
What’s inside the box?
Well, quite a lot actually. We chose the 2060 Super (referred to as the 2060S from here on) because it’s the price twin of the 3060 Ti retailing at $400. However, that’s where the resemblance ends. In terms of CUDA cores, the 3060Ti has more than double the amount of the 2060S.
The 3060Ti has a slightly lower base clock and a slightly higher boost clock than the 2060S. They both have the same 8 GB of VRAM and the same memory speed as well. However, the 3060Ti has a TGP of 200 Watts as compared to the 2060S’ 175W.
How does the Nvidia rtx 3060Ti perform in games?
Get ready to see unreal levels of value for money being added to the whole scenario of gaming. This because the 3060Ti, though not exactly cheap, gives the same level of performance as the 2080 Super. The 2080 Super retails for $699.
Not to mention the 3060Ti’s superior performance in games with Ray Tracing on as well. Here are the benchmarks we observed in a few games for the 3060Ti in the resolutions 1080p, 1440p, and 4K:
- Red Dead Redemption 2: 1080p: 123 fps; 1440p: 100 fps; 4K: 63 fps.
- Battlefield V: 1080p: 150 fps; 1440p: 115 fps; 4K: 63 fps.
- Assassin’s Creed Valhalla: 1080p: 80 fps; 1440p: 63 fps; 4K: 40 fps.
- Watch Dogs Legion: 1080p: 82 fps; 1440p: 62 fps; 4K: 36 fps.
- Call of Duty Modern Warfare: 1080p: 138 fps; 1440p: 98 fps; 4K: 57 fps.

But wait, there’s more!
While you might be rightfully rejoicing over the advent of this cheap GPU, you probably won’t get it. We’d hate to burst your bubble but we estimate that the 3060Ti would only be available well into next year.
You would have to be extremely lucky to get your hands on one of these as the only people that have them are the Tech YouTubers.
Hopefully, the stock gets better as AMD responds with an RX 6600XT and RX6700XT of their own!
