NZ vs ENG Dream11 Team Prediction: New Zealand vs England Cricket World Cup Final Best Dream11 Team

NZ vs ENG Dream11 Team Prediction: Best Dream11 team for today’s World Cup match | New Zealand vs England as TSR helps you with Dream 11.

After 47 contests and 45 days of grueling cricket, the biggest day of the ongoing ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 is here upon us. The all-important and much talked about final match will be played between New Zealand and England at Lord’s today.

While New Zealand have reached this position on the back of defeating India in a two-day cliffhanger, England beat Australia comprehensively to make it to their first final of the World Cup.

In the league stage, both the teams had faced each other just over a week ago. In what was the last match for both the teams in the league stage, England had thumped New Zealand by 119 runs at Chester-le-Street.

Wicket-keepers for NZ vs ENG Dream 11

My only wicket-keeper batsman for this match is New Zealand’s Tom Latham. Despite both Latham and England’s Jos Buttler not been at their best lately, I wanted to pick the latter but a budget constraint made me go for the Kiwi southpaw.

Batsmen for NZ vs ENG Dream 11

Having scored 548 runs in nine ODIs at an average of 91.33 and a strike rate of 76.32 including two centuries and half-centuries each, New Zealand captain Kane Williamson is their highest run-scorer in this World Cup. The fact that he has scored more than 200 runs than their next best batsman in Ross Taylor (335) speaks highly of his contribution in New Zealand’s campaign.

My other three batsmen comprise of England’s top-order batsmen in Jason Roy, Joe Root and captain Eoin Morgan. Other than being England’s highest run-scorer and fourth-highest overall, Root has an impressive record against New Zealand.

In 20 ODIs, Root has scored 925 runs at an average of 57.81 and a strike rate of 92.59 including three centuries and five half-centuries. In seven ODIs at Lord’s, Root has scored 358 runs at an average of 59.66 and a striker rate of 85.44 including a century and two half-centuries.

As far as Roy is concerned, he has scored 426 runs in seven matches at an average of 71 and a strike rate of 117.03 including a century and four half-centuries. The English opener has looked threatening so far and has it in him to tonk the Kiwi bowlers left, right and centre on his day.

All-rounders for NZ vs ENG Dream 11

Two all-rounders whom I have backed throughout the tournament find a place in my Dream11 Fantasy team for the final as well. Other than trending on social media platform Twitter, New Zealand’s James Neesham and England’s Ben Stokes have also made their presence felt across departments in this World Cup.

Bowlers for NZ vs ENG Dream 11

Going by the latest images of the pitch, it wouldn’t be wrong to assume that the match will be played on a green top today. Citing the same in mind, I have included as many as four fast bowlers – two from New Zealand and England each.

I have taken the bold decision of picking Chris Woakes (13 wickets in 10 matches at an average of 31.46, an economy rate of 5.38 and a strike rate of 35) and Mark Wood (17 wickets in nine matches at an average of 24.35, an economy rate of 5.19 and a strike rate of 28.1) over Jofra Archer for the big final. Citing the importance of the match, I wanted to pick the experienced English spearheads ahead of Archer.

Among the Kiwi fast bowlers, I have named Lockie Ferguson (18 wickets in eight matches at an average of 19.94, an economy rate of 4.87 and a strike rate of 24.5) and Matt Henry (13 wickets in eight matches at an average of 27.07, an economy rate of 5 and a strike rate of 32.4).

AUS vs ENG Fantain Prediction

Talking about Fantain Prediction, by selecting the same team, I still had four credits in my purse. Therefore, I have made a couple of changes for this platform. I have included England wicket-keeper batsman Jos Buttler in place of Tom Latham and included Jofra Archer in place of Mark Wood.

If you make the same changes, you will still have two credits with you. I leave it up to you to utilize these credits.
