Odion Ighalo first Man Utd goal: Red Devils forward dedicates a lovely tribute to late sister after maiden goal against Club Brugge in the Europa league.

Odion Ighalo was handed his first start for Manchester United since his arrival on the final day of the January transfer window, The Nigerian vindicated Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s decision to play him ahead of Anthony Martial with his first goal for the Red Devils in the first half.

Bruno Fernandes sent the ball to Juan Mata who squared the ball to Ighalo. The forward made sure to get in the right position before sending the ball behind the net from close range in the 34th minute. The striker then made a beautiful tribute to his sister who recently passed away.

At the moment of writing, United have taken a 3-goal lead with all the goals coming in the first half. Bruno Fernandes opened the scoring after successfully converting yet another penalty. The Portuguese then combined with Juan Mata to set up Ighalo’s aforementioned goal.

Scott McTominay then added the 3rd before the close of play to virtually seal United’s spot in the round of 16 of the Europa League.
