Barcelona have decided to cash in on Ousmane Dembele as Bayern Munich and Liverpool lineup bids.
Barcelona have taken a decision to sell their forward Ousmane Dembele. The 21-year-old has not enjoyed his life at Catalonia since his arrival at the club – forcing Valverde to take a quick call on his Nou Camp future.
The Spanish side culminated the season with the league title, but they faced embarrassments in the Champions League and Copa Del Rey. The defence has been a calamity, but the lack of cutting edge in the final third has often been pinpointed.
Antoine Griezmann, who has been linked vehemently with the Spanish Champions, could join them in the summer window. Neymar is another player to rumoured to rejoin the club, but Barcelona vice-president is not keen on his services. If Barcelona are to sign either of these two, the club must be ready to sacrifice Ousmane Dembele or Philippe Coutinho.
Abiding with the above evitable statement, German publication Kicker has reported about Spanish side’s intention to cut loose of Ousmane Dembele in the transfer market. This has altered the European trio – Bayern Munich, Liverpool, and Paris Saint Germain.
The 21-year-old has started just 29 matches last season, which is majorly owing down to the fact of his injury. He was forced to sit on the sidelines for over three months this campaign. This has made life hard sailing for the Blaugrana, who are not able to get the expected output from the Brazilian Philippe Coutinho.
Bayern Munich struggled to conclude a deal for Manchester City’s Leroy Sane. This has forced the Bavarians to assess their alternatives, with Ousmane Dembele acting as a standby option.
Another suitor is the reigning European Champions Liverpool. Jurgen Klopp has been a long-term admirer of the young French International. This could encourage the young forward to offer himself to the club in order to nourish his playing career. PSG are also willing to get involved in a swap deal, if an approach for Neymar is made.
