Pakistan Cricket Memes: Twitter reactions and funniest memes from India vs Pakistan 2019 World Cup match

Pakistan Cricket Memes: Twitterati was jubilant after watching Pakistan crumbling under pressure against India at Old Trafford.

During the 22nd match of the ongoing ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 between India and Pakistan at Old Trafford, Pakistan once again crumbled under pressure to get restricted from 117/1 to 129/5. The middle-order collapse played a vital role in India winning the match by 89 runs (DLS Method).

Chasing a 337-run target, Pakistan never looked in control in the second innings. India fast bowler Bhuvneshwar Kumar getting ruled out of the match was expected to work in Pakistan’s favour but it wasn’t to be.

Lacking the intensity to chase a 300+ total, Pakistan struggled to match the soaring required run rate. Pakistani batsmen in Fakhar Zaman (62) and Babar Azam (48) did stitch a 104-run partnership for the second wicket but just when they were expected to convert their starts, they didn’t.

While the batting collapse started with Azam in the 24th over, it was followed by Pakistan losing another three wickets in as many overs. After Azam and Zaman, Pakistan lost their veteran batsmen in Mohammad Hafeez (9) and Shoaib Malik (0) in quick succession.

Captain Sarfaraz Ahmed (12) getting out to Vijay Shankar in the 35th over further dented Pakistan’s chances. After rain delayed the Pakistani innings in the 35th over, Pakistan required a near-impossible 136 runs in five overs with four wickets in hand.

At the end of 40 overs, Pakistan ended up scoring 212/6. For India, Vijay Shankar, Kuldeep Yadav and Hardik Pandya took a couple of wickets each.
