The Paris Major 2023 comes to an end as Team Vitality clean-sweeps the underdog GamerLegion to clinch the title of major winner. As mentioned many times before, this title adds a little more to the sentiments as it is the last major of CS: GO.
Coming into this tournament, Team Vitality was the absolute fan-favorite. The major happening at the heart of France, Vitality being led by a French Magnifico, combined with their recent success, it was simply trivial.

After all these years of roster shuffles, and numerous failures to make an impact in previous majors, finally Team Vitality found that X factor. With Dan “apEX” Madesclaire on the helm, Team Vitality has been immense as well as unstoppable recently.
On the other hand, GamerLegion went into the tournament to prove a point. They were here to remind us that even an underdog can never be kept out of the equation. Defeating big names series in series out, Gamerlegion truly deserved the spot in the grand final of the Paris Major 2023. The rosters of the finalist are:

The grand final of the Paris Major 2023 featured a best-of-3 series. And after meticulous thinking and measuring their own strengths, both teams chose the following three maps:
- Map 1: Overpass (GamerLegion’s pick)
- Map 2: Nuke (Team Vitality’s pick)
- Map 3: Inferno (Decider)

Map 1: Overpass
Overpass being GamerLegion’s pick, they started the match strong winning the first pistol round. However, everything went south as Team Vitality ended up securing the first half in their favor with an 11-4 scoreline.
The second half opened the same as GL secured the pistol round once again. But once again everything was shut down as dropping one more round, Team Vitality secured Gl’s map pick with a 16-6 scoreline.
Map 2: Nuke
The pistol round wonders, GamerLegion once again secured the first pistol round in Nuke. And this time around, they hold on as they secured the first half with a 5-10 scoreline as the Counter-Terrorists (CT). The final pistol round of the final goes to Team Vitality as they end up toppling the lead. And with that, Team Vitality becomes the winner of the finals CS: GO major, the Paris Major 2023.
