Paul Pogba goal vs Aston Villa Man Utd star bends a low curler to put the game beyond the Villans

Manchester United are in the driving seat after Paul Pogba partnered with Bruno Fernandes to score a fine goal vs Aston Villa in their Premier League encounter.

Manchester United have effectively won the match against Aston Villa with 3 goals to nil and just a little over 15 minutes left to play. Bruno Fernandes played a part in all 3 goals scoring the first, setting the second and assisting the third.

United were handed a controversial penalty call in the first half. Fernandes took the spot kick and placed it past Reina. He then set up Greenwood by passing the ball to Martial instead of going for a shot himself. The Frenchman return passed the ball to Greenwood who slammed an absolute belter.

United tripled their lead less than 15 minutes after returning from half-time.  Fernandes sent the ball from a corner kick towards Paul Pogba’s way. The opposition were very slow in closing him down. It appeared as if Pogba had all the time in the world to take the ball down before he curled the ball around them into the bottom corner.

Keeper Reina didn’t even bother to attempt to save the ball.

Just minutes before the goal, Pogba had a goal disallowed when he got in the way of a Marcus Rashford shot that deflected off him and into the net. Wan Bissaka could also have had his first goal in a United Jersey. However, he missed a relatively easy chance when he headed wide from just a few yards out.

At the time of writing, United have held on to their lead with just 5 minutes left to play. With a win all but assured, the hunt for the last 4 has just gotten more exciting.
