Paul Pogba could be leaving Manchester United in the summer, according to reports in Spain.

Manchester United returned to action for the first time since the club announced the appointment of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer as the permanent manager of the side.

United registered a 2-1 victory against Watford even when the visitors looked more comfortable on the ball.

Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial were on the scoresheet for the host side. The midfield was far too sloppy throughout the game, but Manchester United managed to hold on to the lead.

Paul Pogba, one of the key parts of the side’s midfield, stirred significant controversy last week when he hinted at a possible move to Real Madrid. He insisted in a press conference that a move to Santiago Bernabeu is a ‘dream’ for any player.

The Spanish outlet, Marca has now reported that the signing could be substantiated by the Los Blancos.

Paul Pogba to Real Madrid?

According to Marca, Mino Raiola, the agent of Paul Pogba, has had two telephonic conversations with executives at Real Madrid as he pulls the strings to complete a move for the midfielder.

The agent has reportedly told Real Madrid that Pogba wants a move in the summer.

Pogba joined Manchester United in 2016 after leaving the Old Trafford three years earlier. While he stated on multiple occasions that United is ‘his home,’ the player’s statements in the press conference raised eyebrows over his commitment to the side.

While fans reacted angrily to Pogba’s statements, there has been no comment from Manchester United.

Zinedine Zidane is reportedly interested in signing the midfielder and is planning a mega-money move for the player.

Pogba has stepped up under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, who worked with him during the player’s youth days. While yesterday’s game was the one to forget, Pogba has scored 9 goals and bagged 7 assists for Manchester United across all competitions under the Norwegian.

The fall-out in the relationship between Pogba and Jose Mourinho was one of the significant reasons behind the sacking of the Portuguese manager.
