Paul Pogba was spotted leading the celebrations in the dressing room after Manchester United decided to axe their manager Jose Mourinho on Tuesday. The French International along with Romelu Lukaku, Jesse Lingard and Anthony Martial were in joyous mood beforemath the training on Wednesday.

This departure of Mourinho has drastically changed the mood in the camp as the players were laughing and had a good training session yesterday after several months. The reports adds on that Pogba was in huge sigh relief after the Portuguese International decided to walk away following the defeat to their arch-rivals Liverpool on Sunday.

“No-one wants to see anyone lose their job, but it was a completely different mood as players were happy again, smiling and could get on with training. “The mood from one day to the next was like night and day.” a source told The Mirror.

Earlier this October, footage captured a heated argument between Jose Mourinho and Paul Pogba at the training ground. Besides, the former Manchester United manager decided to label Pogba as a “Virus” inside the dressing room and firmly believed that he destroyed the mentality within the camp.

After publicly criticising his player, Mourinho was swift to act by leaving him on the bench for the next couple of games. It has not gone up to plan for both the parties since the 89 million move from Juventus in 2016. The 25-year-old has shown flashes of his brilliance this season, but has always struggled for consistency under the Portuguese International.

The French International posted a photo in Instagram following the sack of Mourinho. But, it was taken down later as it was a scheduled post connected to an Adidas advertising campaign.

Gary Neville slagged Pogba off for “dancing in the grave” of Mourinho with Pogba post in Sky Sports. Jesse Lingard and Eric Bailly paid tribute messages to the former Manchester United via Instagram.

Manchester United players had a hard time both off and on the pitch under Jose Mourinho this season. The Portuguese International has also been criticised for favoring some set of players who get to play week in week out. Whereas, the likes of Paul Pogba, Anthony Martial, Luke Shaw, and Eric Bailly have been warming the bench for most parts of this season.

As they sit on 6th in the Premier League, the new Manchester United manager will be eyeing to finish in a Champions League place and lessen a headache for the permanent manager who is expected to be named this summer.

The current interim boss said that he would build a team around Paul Pogba back in August.

“I would [build the team around him], absolutely no doubt. I had him with David [Gray] and Etzaz [Hussain] who is playing for me tomorrow. That just shows how far the kid has come. Paul is a fantastic kid so hopefully we can build the team around him and keep him.”

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will take charge of Manchester United for the first time when he comes up against his former club Cardiff City at Wales on Saturday.
