Pep Guardiola: Juventus reach agreement with Manchester City manager, announcement date decided

Pep Guardiola: Juventus have reportedly reached an agreement with the Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola.

The Pep Guardiola rumours is not going away soon. Il Giornale’s reporter Luigi Guelpa told that Pep Guardiola will be signing a four-year deal with the club in March. The source came from the same person who broke Cristiano Ronaldo’s transfer to the Italian side last summer.

English outlet Mirror has carried the story as well and even quoted Guelpa, as he talked to Radio CRC.

“I’ve learned that Pep Guardiola already has reached a verbal agreement with Juventus for the next four years. It’s the same person who told me that Ronaldo was going to Juventus,” Guelpa said.

It’s been more than three months and the murmurs are not going away. Though, this time, a report from AGI states has listed down the whole situation along with the unveiling date. The salary is said to be €24 million to lure him to Turin.

It is learned that Guardiola will sign his Juventus contract on 4th June, and will be unveiled as the Old Lady’s boss ten days later. This will come as huge news to Juventus, who have relieved Massimiliano Allegri from his managerial duties.

The Italian International parted ways in mutual consent after the failure to take his team forward in the Champions League. Even Pep Guardiola does not enjoy a good track record in the Champions League since leaving Barcelona, but he completed a domestic treble with Manchester City. The English side lifted the Premier League, League Cup, and FA Cup this season, becoming the first ever English side to accomplish this foot.

The possibility of working with Cristiano Ronaldo will just increase the enticement for Pep Guardiola, despite playing down the rumours.

“How many times do I have to say? I’m not going to go to Juventus, I’m not going to move to Italy,” Guardiola said, according to the Mirror.
“I’m satisfied here, I’m not going anywhere. Next season I will be manager of Man City, I said many times.”

Here’s how Twitter reacted..

What’s next?

With Massimiliano Allegri heading the exit door, the club will be keen to recruit a manager with a proven track record. Pep Guardiola fits the bill, but it is to be seen if he would move from Manchester City albeit all these rumours.
