Pep Guardiola says that he won’t sign Lionel Messi!
It’s November and Lionel Messi has not yet signed a contract extension with FC Barcelona. Could the unthinkable actually happen? Could Messi leave Barcelona?
It just seems unfathomable as Messi is an icon in Barcelona. The greatest player in Barcelona’s history and arguably the greatest to have ever played the game, Messi is a symbol for the club and for the city as a whole.

But Neymar’s shocking move last summer told us that anything is indeed possible which is why Barcelona fans will be dreading the fact that Messi is less than two months away from negotiating with any club in the world.
It is being reported that the current brass at FC Barcelona do not have much idea about football and are thereby ruining this great club. Both Dani Alves and Neymar hit out against the board after they left the club, showing that there exists a great deal of discontent among the players.
Manchester City are long term admirers of Messi and were reportedly quite close to getting his signature a couple of years back. And now betting odds have suddenly slashed as City are now 16/1 favourites to land Messi next summer.
That being said, Chelsea and PSG are also very interested in Messi and will try and prize him away from Barcelona at the first notice.
But now it is being reported that Pep will not sanction any deal to bring Messi to the Etihad as this would enrage the Barcelona fans.
