Watch: Nicolas Pepe’s phenomenal twin goals from free kicks help win the match for Arsenal vs Vitoria last night in the Europa League.
Arsenal’s form in the Premier League has been rather topsy-turvy. The side have managed to play beautiful football one day, only to play like an amateur side the next. The Europa League however, is a different story altogether.
The Gunners have won all their 3 matches in Europe’s secondary competition so far. However, the third of which came yesterday, came about by a whisker. Arsenal seemed like they would drop points last night. However, their record signing finally turned up and showed exactly why Arsenal paid as much as they did for him.

Nicolas Pepe has lately come under the radar for his lack of finishing. The Ivorian has shown glimpses of his brilliance. However, he doesn’t have much to show for. Despite his brilliant performance against Sheffield United on Monday, Pepe missed an open goal to earn even more wrath.
Players of a much lesser calibre would have their confidence destroyed but not Pepe. Instead the winger helped Arsenal architect a come from behind victory as the Gunner’s continue their winning streak in the Europa League.
With about 15 minutes left to the game, Arsenal found themselves trailing by a goal. Fortunately, they were handed a reprieve when they were given a free kick from near the box. Nicolas Pepe was handed the responsibility and he did not disappoint as he drove the ball behind the net to find the equaliser.
Nicolas Pepe is a good player. I guess. I just haven't seen him put in strength or show that he is hungry. His lack of interest is always showing pic.twitter.com/gUdqx9Kr1e

The second goal at extra time was even better as he bend the ball into the top corner to hand Arsenal a last grasp victory.

Anyone who was talking shit about Nicolas Pepe has just been well and truly silenced.
Two free kicks. Two completely different angles. Two completely different techniques required. Two absolutely world class goals.

Arsenal, last years finalists, are more or less assured of a place in the knock out stages now. But more importantly, it seems that Nicolas Pepe has finally found his feet in the team and this is just bad news for all the other Premier League sides.
