It has been reported that Barcelona will part ways with Phil Coutinho if the club receives an offer upwards of £90m.

Phil Coutinho has had a struggling season at Barcelona so far.

The Brazilian midfielder has been in and out of the team throughout the campaign. In the 41 games he has played across all competitions, Coutinho has scored 9 goals and provided five assists.

There have been speculations over his future at Barcelona, with various pundits claiming that the Barca star has failed to live up to his £103m price-tag.

Coutinho joined Barcelona in the winter transfer window last year. However, if the reports are to be believed, Barcelona has decided to part ways with the player merely 1.5 years after his signing.

Coutinho to leave Barcelona?

ESPN has reported that Barcelona could sell the Brazilian footballer if they receive an offer over £90m.

There has not been an official bid for the player, but he has reportedly attracted significant interest from Premier League sides.

Manchester United have been long linked with a move for Coutinho, and Chelsea is also said to have joined the race for his signature.

Coutinho is facing a tough time at Barcelona at the moment, and was recently booed off by his own fans during the side’s 3-1 win over Rayo Vallecano last weekend.

An ESPN source stated that the Catalan giants are yet to receive an offer for the player but the player is being monitored by a number of clubs.

“Barcelona do not have a firm offer from any club at this point, but some have expressed an interest in the player,” the source said.

“Key people, who are either directly or indirectly linked with various clubs have been following the situation closely.”

ESPN’s source, however, also stated that Coutinho remains a happy figure at Barcelona.

“He is generally a very happy player who enjoys training, but when he goes onto the pitch, something happens and it doesn’t go well,” ESPN quotes the source as saying.
