PSG have been uncharacteristically quite in this transfer window. Probably their biggest victory this summer would be if they are able to keep hold of their talisman Marco Verratti.

Verratti has been linked with a move away from Paris, with long time admirers Barcelona making their interest quite public.

But now it looks like PSG are indeed willing to bring in a star player into their fold this summer, with Liverpool’s Philippe Coutinho being their main target.

Coutinho has developed into a superstar during his time at Liverpool, with the Brazilian regularly showing his magic on the pitch.

PSG were initially looking at bringing in Mbappe, but with the youngster looking to stay at Monaco for another season, PSG realized that they will have to target someone else.

Liverpool will not allow Coutinho go without a fight, which is why they will be hoping PSG pay for something around 87 million pounds.

According to reports, PSG are willing to pay 70 million pounds, which is less than what Liverpool value their midfield master.

But PSG are optimistic that a compromise can be made, which is why they are keen on starting the negotiations as soon as possible.

The deal could have huge ramifications on both teams. PSG are looking to sign an elite player who could help them in their quest for the Champions League.

Liverpool on the other hand could use the funds to further strengthen their squad.

It might turn out to be win-win situation for both clubs.
