Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang’s reaction to Nicolas Pepe’s goal vs Vitoria is priceless. The winger’s brace helped Arsenal maintain their unbeaten run in the Europa.
Arsenal winger Nicolas Pepe was chased by a host of clubs this summer. Manchester United was also said to be in the race for the Ivorian’s signature. However, Pepe eventually signed for Arsenal and became their record signing.
However, his stay at London has been rather tumultuous. Despite showing flashes of brilliance, Pepe has failed to replicate the form he showed last year with Lille. Many have even begun to question whether he was worth the 70 million splashed at him.
In all fairness though, Pepe’s performance has been getting better by the day. Despite the loss to Sheffield United on Monday night, the Ivorian was their best player on the pitch. Unfortunately for him, he missed a sitter which allowed the criticism to continue pouring.
Nicolas Pepe has however, shut his critics up with a magnificent showing against Vitoria in the Europa League last night. Pepe converted two free kicks from two vastly different angles to help Arsenal script a come from behind victory.
With that win, Arsenal have maintained their unbeaten run in Europe’s secondary competition and look set to advance to the knock out rounds. One man in the stadium who seemed the happiest to see the Ivorian explode and his reaction to Pepe’s goals were nothing short of heart-warming.

Arsenal fans will hope that Nicolas Pepe carries his form to the Premier League. Aubameyang has been brilliant for the Gunners so far. If the trio of Lacazette, Aubameyang and Pepe finally click, then this could very well spell doom for all the other Premier League clubs.
