Mourinho thanks United fans: United manager Mourinho showed his gratitude to the fans at the stadium after the final whistle after 2-0 victory.

Manchester United took a difficult trip to the Turf Moor to take on Burnley during an uncomfortable period for the club. A 2-0 win, courtesy of Romelu Lukaku’s goal ensured that the Red Devils put behind them a streak of two successive losses. Tottenham Hotspur and Brighton & Hove Albion had managed to run riot over the Premier League giants in 3-0 and 3-2 wins respectively until Mourinho’s ship steadied with a 2-0 win at Burnley.

The United fans had turned against Jose Mourinho while some were also by his side, but most of them were angered by Ed Woodward for lack of signings in the transfer market. Their frustration towards the Manchester United was visible by their actions as a plane saying “Woodward- specialist in failure” flew over the Turf Moor during the match on Sunday evening.

Jose Mourinho has now done a class act by thanking all the Manchester United fans, who he claimed were the ‘best judge’ of the team’s performance after the loss at the Old Trafford last week. Mourinho also stood and applauded the United fans following the home loss at Tottenham and made sure to thank the fans after the defeat of Burnley.

Jose Mourinho rushed to thank the away supporters who were in the stadium to appreciate their endless support during what has been a turbulent period. Successive losses were accompanied by pathetic transfers and demands for Woodward’s and Mourinho’s resignations.

Mourinho now heads into the international break with ample time under his hands to find a solution to get rid of Manchester United’s problems at the club. The Red Devils have six out of a twelve possible points and sit 10th in the Premier League, ahead of their trip to the Vicarage Road to play Watford who have a 100% record in England’s top flight this season.
