TheSportsRush brings Burnley vs Manchester United prediction as Jose Mourinho aims to move over shock 0-3 loss against Tottenham earlier this week.

13th-placed Manchester United face Burnley in their fourth Premier League match of the season this Sunday, with the Red Devils keen to get back to winning ways. Both the teams lost their respective games last weekend, and will be hoping to rediscover their form. AS it stands, TheSportsRush presents the match prediction for the upcoming clash.

The Red Devils started their Premier League campaign with a close 2-1 win over Leicester City at home, but have since lost their form as a unit. Brighton upset Manchester United with a 3-2 victory at home, following which Tottenham Hotspur humiliated the Red Devils 3-0 at Old Trafford.

With the loss to Spurs, the pressure will be mounting on the shoulders of Jose Mourinho, who will be hoping that his team could put up a good performance against Burnley. United’s defense had been shaky towards the back end of last season, and is beginning to show its weaknesses at the start of this season.

On the other hand, Burnley still remain win-less after the first three match-weeks, and are placed in the danger zone at the 18th position in the Premier League table. Sean Dyche’s men held Southampton to a goal-less draw in their league opener, before Watford and Fulham humiliated them with a score-line of 3-1 and 4-2 respectively.

The Clarets will be looking to re-establish their league form from last season, as they finished seventh last season, earning a UEFA Europa League spot. Burnley will be hoping that their misfiring team can gel in together to take advantage of the lean form that the Red Devils are into. On the other hand, Jose Mourinho will eye this as an opportunity to get the team back to winning ways, but he will be vary of Burnley’s threat.

Prediction:

Burnley has not had a brilliant time when it comes to facing the Red Devils, as the Clarets have only managed one victory over Manchester United since 1968. Their only victory in this period came in 2009, however, Burnley held the Old Trafford outfit for a crucial 2-2 draw last season, which proved to be the turning point of United’s Premier League title hopes.

With that being said, Manchester United will be heading into the game as favourites, even after being decimated in their previous two league encounters. However, Dyche’s Burnley will also be looking to take advantage and capture the club’s second-ever victory over United in the Premier League era.

SkyBet has placed an odd of 8/13 for Manchester United to clinch their second victory of the Premier League season, while there is an odd of 5/1 for Burnley to win the game. They have also placed an odd of 13/5 for a draw. Moreover, SportsPesa have placed an odd of 5.80/1 for Burnley to capture victory while an odd of 3.65/1 for a draw.

TheSportsRush predicts a close encounter between both the clubs which might end in a 2-2 scoreline with both clubs grabbing a solitary point from the encounter. Manchester United will put up a better performance than they did at the Old Trafford last weekend, but their defense might just let them down again, with Burnley cashing in on the opportunities.
