TheSportsRush brings Chelsea vs Manchester United prediction, as Jose Mourinho’s side faces a tough test at Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea has emerged as one of the strongest teams in the Premier League in the new season. Maurizio Sarri’s side is level on points with league leaders Manchester City. The Italian manager brought his possession-based style of football, often called the ‘Sarriball’, and Chelsea’s players have adapted seemingly well with the change in style.
Eden Hazard is arguably the best player in Europe at the moment, with his exploits at Chelsea ever since the season began. He is leading the goal-chart in the Premier League, with 7 goals in 8 matches.
Manchester United, meanwhile, don’t share similar fortunes. The club has had a fair share of controversies ever since the season began. A lack of transfer activity led to Mourinho attacking the board in press conferences, which had repercussions on the performances on the pitch.
Jose Mourinho’s side is currently 8th in the Premier League, with only 13 points. Their season was also marred by a controversial video from a training session, where Mourinho and midfielder Paul Pogba were seen arguing, in the aftermath of United’s loss to Derby County in the Carabao Cup.
However, Manchester United’s players headed out to the international break with an inspiring 3-2 victory over Newcastle United. Jose Mourinho’s side would aim to continue with the same intensity when they return to Premier League with a visit to Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea vs Manchester United prediction:
Manchester United last won a game at Stamford Bridge in 2012, under Sir Alex Ferguson. On current form, it is unlikely that Jose Mourinho’s men will break the six-year winless streak.
Chelsea are yet to lose in the Premier League this season and have scored 20 out of the possible 24 points in the league so far.

Antonio Rudiger is the only player who’s feared out of the game with injury for Chelsea. Manchester United, meanwhile, have a few decisions to make in this regard. Luke Shaw and Nemanja Matic pulled out of national team commitments during the international break and will be assessed this week.
Jesse Lingard hasn’t featured for the club since United’s defeat in the Carabao Cup. Ander Herrera, who emerged on top against Eden Hazard at times, is another injury absentee but returned to training during the international break.
Morning all. Chelsea away this Saturday. Stamford Bridge, our record is abysmal there. No Javier Hernandez to score an offside winner this time…but hoping for a similar result. Hell of a 6 game run coming up for both Man United and Jose Mourinho. pic.twitter.com/161VIfrwwT
