Premier league transfer news: Man Utd, Arsenal and Liverpool battle for in demand Real Madrid star

Premier league transfer news: Man Utd, Arsenal and Liverpool vying for James Rodriguez from Real Madrid as he is available this summer.

James Rodriguez was on a two-year loan spell at Bayern Munich from Real Madrid, the Colombian International had a successful tenure with the Bavarians as he won two Bundesliga titles and is into the finale Dfb Pokal 2019.

Additionally, he has scored 15 goals and provided 20 assists in 67 appearances across all competitions for the Bavarians.

The German club had an option to purchase the player on the permanent basis, but a report by the Mirror claims that the Colombian International is not keen in staying at the club any further.

It is also reported that Rodriguez will return to Spain and will hold a meeting with his agent to seek better prospects as Zinedine Zidane is not interested in keeping the 27-year-old at the club amidst the massive squad overhaul.

Therefore, it has aroused the interests of top English clubs as Arsenal, Manchester United and Liverpool are now battling to sign his services.

Arsenal need to bolster their midfield as Aaron Ramsey has left for PSG and Mesut Ozil has been underwhelming since a long period of time. Thus, making him a viable addition in the North London club.

Similarly, Manchester United are also struggling to maintain the quality in midfield, with Ander Herrera and Juan Mata set to leave on free transfers, there is a big void in the Red Devils’ midfield.

Hence, if Manchester United secure the services of James Rodrigues then it will be a big upgrade for Ole Solskjaer.

Whereas, Liverpool are hoping to bag the Premier league next season and in order to compete for the league title, Jurgen Klopp has to bring more depth into the squad. Hence, Rodriguez seems as an appropriate target for Liverpool.

However, James Rodriguez is yet to bind his decision and further details of his possible move are yet to be known.
