PV Sindhu match time: TheSportsRush brings you full details of PV Sindhu’s first match at the Asian Games 2018.
After a disappointing team event at the Asian Games 2018, the Indian shuttlers gear up for the singles event. Day 5 (tomorrow) will see the commencement of individual events in badminton. In men’s event, Srikanth Kidambi will be leading the competition for India, while PV Sindhu is among the favourites to clinch the gold medal in women’s event.
PV Sindhu will be up against the 26-year old Trang Thi Vu of Vietnam in the round-of-32 at the Asian Games 2018 tomorrow. Her match will begin at 10:30 AM, according to official schedule chart of Asian Games.
Sindhu has had a good badminton season so far, however she would attempt to break the ‘final-curse’ at the Asian Games 2018. The Indian badminton star has so far lost four finals this year, at the India Open, Thailand Open, World Championships and Commonwealth Games.
In Gold Coast, Sindhu lost to fellow Indian compatriot Saina Nehwal, who will also be competing at the Asian Games’ singles event.
In the previous edition of Asian Games, the-then 19 year old Sindhu reached round-of-16, where she lost to Bellaetrix Manuputty of Indonesia.
In the 2018 Asian Games, however, PV Sindhu is the 3rd seed shuttler in the women’s event. The Indian badminton star has won 10 individual titles in the last six years, and bagged a silver medal at Olympics 2016.

Earlier this year, Sindhu reached the semifinals of the prestigious All England Open, and won a silver medal at the World Championships. This was her second consecutive silver medal in the tournament.
The Indian badminton star faces a tough competition in the Asian Games this year in the likes of Nozomi Okuhara, Sung Ji-Hyun, He Bingjao and fellow Indian Saina Nehwal.
