PV Sindhu final highlights: Indian star settles for silver medal

It was a heartbreak for India’s badminton star PV Sindhu, as she lost her fifth major final this year. Sindhu went down to Chinese Taipei’s Tai Tzu-ying 13-21 16-21 on day 10 at the Asian Games 2018 to settle for silver medal in the continental tournament.
Tai, who is currently world no. 1, dictated the play throughout the match, not letting Sindhu settle in the game. The Chinese Taipei star persisted with her strategy to play Sindhu at the back and ensure shorter rallies. Her tactics were complimented by amazing reflexes and stop-move style of play, which proved hard to break for Sindhu.
This was the first time when an Indian badminton player reached the final of individual badminton event at the Asian Games. Sindhu won a silver in Commonwealth Games earlier this year as well, where she lost to her fellow Indian counterpart Saina Nehwal.
