During the 45th match of the ongoing ICC Cricket World Cup match between Australia and South Africa at The Old Trafford Stadium, Manchester, the Proteas wicket-keeper batsman Quinton de Kock grabbed an absolutely unbelievable catch to send the Aussie batting all-rounder- Glenn Maxwell back in the pavilion.
It all happened on the very first delivery of the 24th over. The Proteas speedster Kagiso Rabada bowled a vicious bouncer to Maxwell. Maxwell, tried to play the expansive pull but could only manage to get a thick top- edge of the bat.

It seemed as if the ball would go above the relatively short in height de Kock, but the 26-year-old exhibited a consummate display of athleticism will a full length jump and an outstretched right hand vertically to send Maxwell packing.
Maxwell was thus dismissed cheaply with only 12 runs under his name off 20 deliveries.
Maxwell’s wicket proved to be crucial
Maxwell’s wicket was always going to be a crucial one considering his ability to go hammer and tongs right from the word go. In fact, his wicket was instrumental in South Africa’s 10-run eventual victory in the end.
With the loss, Australia eventually finish second in the points table, and would face England in the second semi-final that will take place on July 11 at Birmingham.
