Liverpool fans want Sadio Mane to emulate Luis Suarez’s ‘diving celebration’ in front of Pep Guardiola
Liverpool fans want Sadio Mane to emulate Luis Suarez’s ‘diving celebration’ in front of Pep Guardiola, who criticized Mane for diving.
Pep Guardiola slammed Sadio Mane for his dramatic dive against Aston Villa in the previous game-week, which has outraged Liverpool fans who now want the Senegalese International to emulate Luis Suarez’s famous diving celebration if he scores against Manchester City next week.
Liverpool was trailing against Aston Villa in the last Premier League game and in order to overcome the deficit, Mane tried to dive to gain a penalty but the referee caught the Liverpool star and booked him for diving.
Further, the 27-year-old forward has also been accused of going down easily against Leicester City and Tottenham. Thus, in response, Guardiola, whose team is 6 points behind Liverpool in the table criticized Mane’s attempt to cheat.
“It has happened many times, what Liverpool have done, in the last few years, it’s because (Mane) isthesportsrush.com/sadio-mane-dive-vs-aston-villa-watch-mane-making-bizarre-dive-to-get-yellow-card-against-aston-villa/ a special talent,” Guardiola told BBC Sport.
So, Liverpool fans, who got really agitated by Guardiola’s comments want a befitting replay and are advising Mane to copy their previous star Suarez’s dive in front of Manchester City boss, as the Merseyside club will face them in the upcoming Premier League fixture.

Back in 2012, David Moyes did something similar before a Merseyside derby. He picked out Luis Suarez and claimed he was a diver. Moyes claimed that divers were turning fans away from football and said: “I would (be concerned about Suarez) because I think he has got history.”
Two days later, Suarez scored at Goodison Park and celebrated with a salmon dive in front of Moyes. This celebration by the Uruguayan International is still controversial till date, and if Mane does this against Guardiola then it will surely generate sensational headlines.
