Ramsey on Arsenal future: Aaron Ramsey will no longer be under contract with the Gunners and is set to depart the Emirates after 10 years at the club.

Fellow London rivals Tottenham Hotspur are believed to be interested in the midfielder and Ramsey has broken the silence surrounding the speculation of his potential transfer to the Spurs.

Ramsey laughed off and claimed that he is not considering the switch to the rivals. Although, the Wales International took a dig at the club as he is yet to receive an explanation on why the final contract offer was withdrawn, leading to this situation. He said:

“Well, there is no contract on the table at the moment. So there is nothing for me to consider or whatever.

“We all know that the contract was taken away off the table. I’m not sure exactly why because a few weeks before we sort of agreed and I was ready to sign.” Ramsey said

What went wrong for Ramsey?

The 27-year-old claimed that he is unaware of what exactly happened and would love to get an explanation whenever the club is ready.

“Something happened, I am not sure exactly what, but that contract is no longer there, or nothing’s on the table. Hopefully somebody will come up and tell me why.

“I’ll accept that if there’s a reason.” he added.

Ramsey was a vital cog in the Arsenal midfield for the larger part of the decade and flourished under Arsene Wenger. With Unai Emery getting into charge, the manager has entrusted in a young midfield comprising of Guendozi, Lucas Torreira and Granit Xhaka in particular.

The Welshman would be a good addition to any club in the Premier League with his versatility and priceless experience playing in England at the highest level.
