RBK vs LOK Dream11 Team: Week one of the Russian Premier League wraps up with Russian Cup winners Lokomotiv Moscow taking on Rubin Kazan
We are all set to wrap up what has been an eventful opening week in the Russian Premier League with one of the most outstanding team in the league taking to the pitch today. Last season’s second placed team and Russian Cup champions, Lokomotiv Moscow will be in play today when they entertain Rubin Kazan at home for their league opener.
For Lokomotiv Moscow, this edition of the showpiece league is all about going that extra step while keeping firm the successful platform they had churned out last season. After snapping at Zenit’s heels throughout the season. Moscow ultimately fell short by 8 points in the end to finish a solid campaign in second place.
However the side refused to be dejected by those turn of events as they went onto craft a sublime run in the Russian Cup, one that saw them go the distance and walk away with the glistening trophy under their arms. A 2-0 win over Rostov in the semi-final was sealed by 1 -0 triumph over Ural in the final to see them bring a happy end to a season that was befitting of a trophy.
Elsewhere for their opponents Rubin Kazan, the 2018-19 edition of RPL was anything but a happy story. Finding themselves slip out of the top 10 as the league neared its culminating, the problems kept ever widening for the side whose dismal spree of results saw them being pushed down to 11th place.
One of the frontrunners for the title this season, Lokomotiv Moscow will be looking to treat this encounter as one where they set the tone for their opponents right from match one. The nature of their opposition is paper thin at best, a side who shouldn’t perturb them too much on the day.
With a rock hard defence being complimented perfectly by a scintillating attack, we see Lokomotiv Moscow winning this one with relative ease. A cleansheet plus a hammering of goals is extremely probable for the side who should begin their campaign with a flourish.
Goal-Keeper for RBK vs LOK Dream11
With us having to fill in the requisite four players from Rubin Kazan for this one, we have opted to opt for their goal-keeper as the only player from their defensive setup. With Rubin Kazan extremely unlikely to keep a cleansheet, Ivan Konovalov is the best player we can nail on. The shot stopper will face a carnage of goals which should offer which a good chance to add the save points to our side.
Defenders for RBK vs LOK Dream11
It’s a complete trio of defenders that makes its way into our line-up from Lokomotiv Moscow. One of the most complete sides at the back last season, Moscow saw heads turned their way after their backline’s gameplan was well drilled to show immense responsibility. It’s the framework of success for this side and we only expect them to better last season’s showing this year.
Given this, we have Mikhail Lysov, Benedikt Howedes and Vedran Corluka all make an entry into our Dream 11 side for the day. Expect them to put in an exceptional performance and keep Rubin Kazan well away from fathoming together a goal.
Midfielders for RBK vs LOK Dream11
We have opted for another trivalent from Moscow over here as well with all their instrumental attacking players making a way into our side. Given the callous and contentious nature of Rubin Kazan’s backline coupled with the attacking capabilities of Moscow, the side could end up imploring their way to snaring a slew of goals.
And wanting to indulge in those we have Dmitry Barinov, Grzegorz Krychowiak and Aleksie Miranchuk all make a way into our side. From Kazan it’s a two man duo of the more defensively minded players in the form of Khvicha Kyaratskhelia and Igor Konovalov who are making a foray into our setup.
Strikers for RBK vs LOK Dream11
The two strikers, one from either side are going to wrap up our Dream 11 outfit for the day. Jefferson Farfan has been chosen from Moscow while we have opted for Alexey Sutormin to come into our side from Rubin Kazan. Facing a dearth of options up the pitch, Alexey offers the best option to the side to end their travails for a goal.
Captain And Vice-Captain
It’s a one-two of players from Moscow with Dmitry Barinov opted for as our captain while we have Farfan being made the vice-captain.
