Real Madrid have told Paul Pogba that they will not buy him in January. The club are not as desperate to bolster their midfield following the emergence of Fede Valverde.
Paul Pogba was the subject of Real Madrid’s interest in the summer. However, the club have now decided to walk away from the French midfielder and will not pursue him during the January transfer window. They have also informed Pogba of their decision.

Real Madrid have told Paul Pogba through his agent Mina Raiola that they will not buy him in January dur to the emergence of Fede Valverde according to Marca. While Zidane is still a fan of Pogba, Madrid’s midfield now wears a more settled look now. With the side having already spent a lot in the summer, there is no need to spend even more when the players have lifted their game.
Paul Pogba has not featured for Manchester United since he injured his ankle. His return date keeps pushing back and he is now expected to be fit by January. His manager, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has maintained all through the saga that the star player is not up for sale.
No takers for Pogba
Pogba still has 18 months on his contract with Manchester United but hinted in the summer that he was looking for a new challenge. It was reported at the time that Real Madrid and Juventus were interested in bringing him to their fold.
At the moment, Pogba’s exit from the club seems very difficult. Real Madrid do not need Pogba anymore. Juventus on the other hand, are overcrowded in the midfield department. It appears that at least for this season, Pogba will remain a Manchester United player.
