Real Madrid yesterday announced the departure of Cristiano Ronaldo.

After a week long speculation, Ronaldo’s transfer to Juventus was finally confirmed by Real Madrid yesterday. The Portuguese winger joined Los Blancos in 2009, and won various club and individual honours, significantly four Champions League titles and four Balon d’Ors.

While Real Madrid fans are heartbroken with Ronaldo’s departure, there is finally some respite for them. According to Mootaz Chehade, a journalist from renowned Spanish outlet VAVEL, reports that Real Madrid have sent their club official to Brazil, in order to carry out the deal for Neymar.

Various Spanish outlets earlier reported that Real Madrid have already identified Neymar as their priority replacement for Cristiano Ronaldo. However, MARCA reported that the club understands the difficulty in bringing Neymar to Santiago Bernabeu, because he joined PSG only last year in a world record deal.

Florentino Perez’s interest in Neymar is not hidden, and he is keen on making the Brazilian another one of his Galactico.

It has also been reported by MARCA that Real considers Eden Hazard as their plan B, in case they fail to sign Neymar. Eden Hazard has had an impressive World Cup campaign, and signified his will to leave Chelsea before the World Cup.

He also stated that Real Madrid interests him, and that the club knows what it has to do to bring him to Santiago Bernabeu.
