Real Madrid is resolute to sign the Brazilian star forward Neymar, who moved to PSG only last summer from FC Barcelona.

Spanish club Real Madrid has reportedly increased their interest in Brazilian star winger Neymar. The forward joined PSG from FC Barcelona only last year.

Neymar had a troubled life since he joined Paris Saint Germain last year. There have been reports of tensions between Neymar and PSG forward Edinson Cavani in the initial half of the season. Neymar has spent his last three months on the sidelines after suffering a serious ankle injury in February.

According to a report from Mirror, Real Madrid is lining-up a sensational 230m bid to land the Brazilian star. Sources close to the club say that club director Florentino Perez is keen on signing Neymar.

AS reports that Neymar met Real Madrid’s newest signing Vinicius Junior in March. The meeting was supposed to be a secret, as Real Madrid intended on both the players getting to know each other. Vinicius has expressed his desire to play alongside Neymar last month.

“If God wants, Neymar and I will play together in Real Madrid. I would definitely be in favour of him moving to Madrid because it would be my big dream to play in the same side as him,” Vinicius Junior said.

Neymar has a contract with Paris Saint Germain until the end of 2021-22 season. PSG, in such a case, would be less inclined to let Neymar go without making a sustainable profit in the deal. AS reported that PSG has fixed a fee in the region of 260 million to let Neymar go.

Neymar has played 30 games in all competitions for PSG this season, scoring 28 goals. He was injured before the second leg of Champions League round of 16 game against Real Madrid in February. He was in Paris last night to complete his final stage of rehabilitation, and saw his teammates lift the French Cup.
