Real Madrid will travel to Leganes in the La Liga on Monday night, as they aim for a positive finish after a season full of struggles.
Real Madrid are currently at the third position in the La Liga. The side is a whopping 13 points behind league leaders and arch-rivals Barcelona, who have almost ensured a second consecutive La Liga title after a 2-0 victory over Atletico Madrid last weekend.
However, all is not lost for Zinedine Zidane’s side. While Barcelona are in pole position to sweep away the league, the second place is up for grabs, with Atletico only two ahead of Real.
The Los Blancos would intend to build pressure on Diego Simeone’s side as the season reaches the business end. As the side takes on Leganes in their 32nd league game of the season, we take a look at the Real Madrid predicted line up for the game.
Real Madrid predicted line up vs Leganes
Goalkeeper: Keylor Navas
Zinedine Zidane has been using Keylor Navas ever since his arrival at Real Madrid, and the goalkeeper has been decent in the limited outings. With Thibaut Courtois injured, expect Keylor Navas to line up against Leganes in the crucial away tie as well.
Defence: Odriozola, Varane, Nacho, Reguilon
The Frenchman is expected to keep a similar defensive line up to the one which scraped a victory against Eibar last weekend. Raphael Varane was diagnosed with flu but returned to training earlier this week.
With Sergio Ramos already out for two weeks, Zidane is unlikely to rest Varane as well, as the side eyes for a second spot in the league table.
Midfield: Modric, Casemiro, Isco
Luka Modric and Isco are likely to retain their place, and Casemiro might replace Valverde in the game against Leganes. Zidane would want to go with the full strength squad in the game.
Even when Real Madrid achieved victories under Zidane, they haven’t been convincing enough in their performances. The Frenchman would want some stability in his side.
Forward: Bale, Benzema, Asensio
Karim Benzema has been key for Real Madrid this season. The French striker has scored 25 goals for the Los Blancos across all competitions so far, as he stepped up as the main man after the departure of Cristiano Ronaldo.
Even when Benzema didn’t have the same impact as the departing Portuguese forward, his performances have been vital of late. In their last game against Eibar, Benzema scored two goals as he led Real Madrid to a 2-1 win.
Gareth Bale, on the other hand, has been speculated with a move away from Real Madrid. However, Zidane would want to persist with the Welshman as he attempts to regain his lost form.
