Every year, these two Spanish giants face each other in the biggest derby match in the footballing calendar, El Classico.
Over the last decade, Lionel Messi has been at the forefront of everything great at Barcelona, as the Catalan club established themselves as the best side in the world.
But things have started changing, as Cristiano Ronaldo’s Real Madrid have slowly but surely wrested that tag from Barcelona, and are dominating the footballing scene at the moment.

We as fans get to see these two teams clash on at least two occasions every year, with our eyes glued to our television sets whenever Messi and Ronaldo take to the field to face each other. But that might be about to change!
An exhibition match between Real Madrid and Barcelona legends will take place in Mumbai on 15th September. The match, which was initially scheduled to take place in Kolkata, will now take place in the commercial capital of the country.
Kolkata could not host the match owing to their preparations for the FIFA U-17 World Cup that will take place later this year.
The match, which is organized by the Football Next Foundation, will have the likes of Roberto Carlos, Ronaldinho, Nicolas Anelka, Luis Figo, Carles Puyol and Simao participate in it.
This will be a once in a lifetime event for Indian football fans. For all those fans in Mumbai, hurry up and grab your tickets!
