Real Madrid are reportedly weighing up a deal for Bayern Munich defender David Alaba.
Florentino Perez has been looking to revamp the entire squad as many of the players who have gone onto win three Champions League in last three years are entering the twilight end to their career.
The loss of Cristiano Ronaldo has not been sustainable for the Los Blancos following their horrific start to the new campaign, but every club would be going through a transitional period to strengthen their squad.
Following the departure of the Portuguese International, his former teammate Marcelo could be heading to the exit door, as reported by Diario Gol. Over the last two years or so, there has been plenty of questions raised about the amount of defensive contribution from the left-back.
It is no brainer to think that Marcelo is the best full-back when it comes to attacking threat, but his liability at the back has forced the club to think of upgradation in this position.
The name that often has been thrown around is believed to be David Alaba, according to the report. The Switzerland International is one of the best-full backs available in the world right now having performed consistently for the Bavarians ever since he signed for the German outfit.
On the other hand, Bayern Munich are linked with Atletico Madrid’s Lucas Hernandez, although he is not termed out to be Alaba’s replacement. It will be interesting to see how things pan out after this season as both the clubs are eyeing to strengthen their squad.
During the summer transfer window, many links popped out that Marcelo is wanted by his former teammate Cristiano Ronaldo at Turin. However, those links were all put to bed when he decided to stick with the Whites.
Besides, it’s not only Ronaldo who is wanting the Brazilian at Allianz Stadium. But, the club is reportedly lining up a move for Jordi Alba or Marcelo as they seek to push Alex Sandro and bring the best out of him.

Despite making a poor start to the campaign, the Brazilian has been backed by his manager Santiago Solari to hit the heights at Santiago Bernabeu. But, his contribution to the defensive part of the game has received so many criticisms.
He was once again brought into the limelight after a dreadful performance against Real Sociedad which resulted in a 2-0 loss at Santiago Bernabeu. There were questionable refereeing decisions, but the Los Blancos did not do enough to get something out of the game.

Their season woes have turned into a turmoil following the injury to Gareth Bale who has a problem with his calf muscle. They cannot afford to miss the services of their top scorer of this season.
Luka Modric, who was linked with Inter Milan in the summer transfer window could leave the club in the next transfer window. Florentino Perez eyes him to protect his value and sell him before it is too late.
With the hopes of securing a silverware this season, the Los Blancos will take on Leganes in the Copa Del Rey Round of 16 on Wednesday.
