Rick and Morty Co-Creator Removed from Season 7 Production; New Voice Actors will be hired
Adult Swim has confirmed they are cutting ties with Justin Roiland in light of his recent domestic battery and false imprisonment charges. He did not plead guilty to those charges back in 2020. This is not the first time he was involved in controversy, as he was rumored to have been a part of minor grooming and predatory charges a few years back.

Squanch Games also settled a lawsuit in 2018, which was over sexual harassment, discrimination, and wrongful termination. Adult Swim tweeted that they will hire new voice actors and are looking to recast the roles of the titular characters. The reason why Adult Swim is not canceling Rick and Morty is that they signed a ten-season deal back in 2018. Season 7 of the show will release in the Summer of 2023. It will be interesting to see how the fans of the show react to the news.
No comments are from Hulu, Squanch Games, or any accompanying studios that Justin Roiland was a part of. We do not know what will happen in the case in the future, but we will keep you posted.
