Rishabh Pant's girlfriend calls him 'The King' after his fifty in Chennai ODI against West Indies

Rishabh Pant’s girlfriend calls him ‘The King’ after the Indian wicketkeeper scores a half-century against West Indies in Chennai ODI.

India lost the game against West Indies in one of the off-performances by the men in blue in this series. India has been phenomenal in the present series against the Carrabiens but was limited by them in the first ODI in Chennai.

Despite it, one of the positives for India was Rishabh Pant, who played a brilliant knock of 71 and had a great partnership with his Delhi Capitals captain Shreyas Iyer.

Pant has not been at his best for India since a while and many fans started being sceptical about his inclusion in the team, but an impressive knock at Chennai shut his doubters.

Amidst his glamorous innings, Pant’s girlfriend went onto call him “The King” after his brilliant performance. Isha Negi, who is a social media influencer took to Instagram with a screenshot of India’s final score – a graphic of BCCI’s official social media page and showed her love for Pant calling him ‘The King’.

But despite the efforts of Pant, India could not stop the furious innings by West Indies, as they chased the target with more than 2 overs and 8 wickets remaining.

On the other hand, people did mention that Pant did the same mistake on the field as he carelessly gave his wicket when he could have stayed on the pitch to get a ton and take India’s score beyond 300.

Nevertheless, this inning should help Pant get his form back on the track and he would probably get a chance at the next ODI in Vizag. Moreover, with Pant and Iyer hitting form, it remains to be seen whether they will be paired together for India’s long lost middle order.
