The architects of this supremacy have been the usual suspects that have lead Liverpool’s charge in the seasons before. Virgil Van Dijk, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino.
Liverpool opened their account today against Burnley through a cross from Alexander-Arnold that sailed past the keeper and found its way into the goal. Sadio Mane then scored the second after he placed the ball into the nets just before half time.
In the second half, Roberto Firmino beat the keeper to score Liverpool’s first goal. In the process he became the first ever Brazilian to notch up 50 goals in the Premier League.

Liverpool have so far scored 12 goals in 4 matches. This is an average of 3 goals per match. However, the Reds had failed to prevent the opponent from scoring even once. They have managed to concede a goal per game just near the end before finally managing a clean sheet tonight.
This has been the most perfect game played by them so far and they will hope to continue in the same vein as they chase a maiden Premier League title.
