Gabriel Jesus scored twice for Manchester City in both halves of the match before Rodri delivered the killer blow with 22 minutes still left in the match. Riyad Mahrez then added to the score before Burnley finally opened their account with a minute left to 90 minutes.
Off the 5 goals that the match witnessed, Spanish Midfielder Rodri’s strike stole the show. The thunderbolt from 25 yards out was virtually unstoppable and watching the replays over and over again just seems to make the goal better.

With this victory, Manchester City have now climbed back to second place. They have the same points as Leicester City who have a game in hand, however, should the foxes fail to win or draw tomorrow, City will remain at second place with a better goal difference.
Guardiola’s men still trail Liverpool by 8 points. Jurgen Klopp and his boys play tomorrow and could extend their lead back to 11. However, with this thumping win, it is apparent that despite the advantage to Liverpool at the moment, City will go down fighting until the very end.
