Roberto Martinez urges Romelu Lukaku to leave Manchester United to find regular game time.
Belgium manager Roberto Martinez has adviced Romelu Lukaku to leave Manchester United in the summer window. New Inter Milan manager Antonio Conte has beseeched the club to lure the former Chelsea striker to San Siro – regardless of the amount.
The 26-year-old lost his starting place under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, who prefers Marcus Rashford to Red Devils’ number 9. Even if the Belgian had featured in the eleven, he has been impelled to drift through the right wing and function as a creator.
In an interview with the Belgian publication HLN, Martinez threw his weight behind his departure.
The Belgium manager said: “It is clear that he has to leave Manchester United. It would be a good thing for both parties. It is now important that Romelu finds the right club.”
Rumours stated that Romelu Lukaku has agreed personal terms with Inter Milan. The former Everton striker is currently earning £250,00 per week, but is ready to take pay-cut in order to pressurize a move to the Italian giants.
The 26-year-old avowed Antonio Conte as World’s best manager and has refused to discuss his future with the media because it would be out of respect to Manchester United.
”It’s a good thing that Conte went to Inter, for me he’s the best manager in the world. Regarding my future, I know it will be a long and busy summer, I have to wait until United but I already made my decision that I can’t communicate publicly out of respect for the contract I have with the Red Devils” said Lukaku.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is ready to cut short Lukaku’s services in the summer window, but they would demand the amount which Everton recouped from them in 2017.
