Ronaldo's message for Sir Alex

Ronaldo’s message for Sir Alex: Cristiano Ronaldo posted a message for his former manager after the game against Manchester United.

Manchester United failed to continue on their spirited performances in the Premier League as they slumped to a 1-0 defeat against Juventus.

Paolo Dybala scored the goal in the first half to give Juventus the lead, and Manchester United failed to make a comeback throughout the game. In the second half, United came close on occasions but the poor set of moves in the final third costed them the match.

With this loss, Manchester United are now five points behind Juventus. However, they remain at 2nd position as Valencia were forced to a 1-1 draw by Young Boys.

The match also saw the teturn of former footballer Cristiano Ronaldo at Old Trafford. The Portuguese footballer had a rather quiet evening, however.

After the game, Ronaldo met his former manager Sir Alex Ferguson, who signed him at the club in 2003. He also posted a message for his former boss.

Ronaldo’s message for Sir Alex:

Cristiano Ronaldo took to social media to convey his message to the former Manchester United boss. The Portuguese footballer wrote, “A great coach and above all a wonderful man. Taught me so many things inside and outside the pitch. Great to see you in good shape, Boss!”

Here is the tweet:

Before the game, he stressed on Sir Alex Ferguson’s role in his career, stating that he helped him become what he is.

“When the draw was made I thought about how much I enjoyed my time here, all the trophies I won and the love everyone showed me, especially Sir Alex Ferguson.

“It is special for me to return to Manchester. Here I have many memories of victories and affection and in particular with Sir Alex Ferguson, to whom I send a big hug. He is a person who helped me so much.”

What next?

Manchester United will travel to Turin for the return leg against Juventus. With Valencia only two-point behind Mourinho’s side in the group, United will aim for a result in Italy.

The side will return to Premier League action this weekend as they take on Everton. Manchester United is currently 10th in the league table.
