Sadio Mane: Liverpool star responds to Real Madrid speculations

Sadio Mane has responded to the speculations linking him with Real Madrid.

Sadio Mane says that he wants to stay at Liverpool amidst interest from the Spanish giants Real Madrid. Senegalese International is admired by the current manager Zinedine Zidane, but the Los Blancos are set to miss out on their target after the Reds’ number 10 has opened up about his future.

The Liverpool forward, who has scored 21 goals this campaign is set to stay put at Anfield after extending his contract until 2023. Speaking to the media before the second leg against FC Porto in the Champions League Quarterfinals, Mane insisted that he sees himself at the club after the conclusion of the summer transfer window.

“Of course I want to be a legend not only for Liverpool but also in the Premier League story and that is one of my targets. I will do everything possible to achieve everything possible,”

“Reaching 100 games means a lot to me. To play this many games for a club like Liverpool is incredible. Like I have always said, I am very happy to play for this club and every single day I am enjoying being here and trying to do everything to win something for this club.”

Mane also heaped praise on boss Jurgen Klopp, who has Liverpool just four games away from their first Premier League title.

“He loves all his players and is very close to his players too. He also demands a lot but he never puts pressure on us other than asking the best of us,” he added.

“He only asks you to do your best in whatever you are doing and also to enjoy it. I think that’s important because, under him, everybody has progressed a lot as everyone can see. It’s very important for us to work with him for more years.” said Mane.

Liverpool will play FC Porto in Portugal on Wednesday in the Champions League Quarterfinals, followed by the clash against Cardiff City in the Premier League four days later.
