RR vs DC Match Prediction

RR vs DC Match Prediction: The Sportsrush presents before you the Match Prediction of 40th match of IPL 2019.

The 40th match of the ongoing 12th season of the Indian Premier League will be played between Rajasthan Royals and Delhi Capitals at Jaipur. With both the teams coming on the back of an individual victory yesterday, one can expect a riveting encounter on a slow Sawai Mansingh surface.

Out of the five home matches which RR have played this season, they have won two and lost the other three. On the other hand, DC have won as many as four out of five away matches in IPL 2019. Given Capitals’ away record this season, the hosts would be on their toes tomorrow.

RR vs DC – What numbers suggest?

In the 18 matches which Rajasthan Royals and Delhi Capitals have played in IPL 2019, Rajasthan have won 11 matches as compared to Delhi’s seven victories. Talking about the five matches played at Sawai Mansingh Stadium, Royals have won as compared to Capitals’ lone victory.

Another stat which is likely to favour the hosts is both the teams’ average score against each other. As compared to Rajasthan’s average score of 157 against Delhi, Delhi have a much lesser average score of 148 against RR.

RR vs DC – Paper value

Royals defeating Mumbai Indians by 5 runs yesterday in the absence of opening batsman Jos Buttler was a commendable effort on their part. DC might look better than RR on paper, but it is primarily because of their current form. Under the captaincy of Steven Smith, Royals would be looking to keep their campaign alive.

Going into the business end of the league stage, Capitals would be looking to address their concern of losing wickets especially during chases. It is the same area which RR would look to target against DC. Despite a poor overall record against Royals, one believes that Capitals are still the favourites majorly because of how they have played in IPL 2019.
