Dhoni defeats Tendulkar and Kohli

Dhoni defeats Tendulkar and Kohli: In a recent survey, former India captain has emerged as the third-highest influential Indian.

Despite former India captain and current wicket-keeper batsman Mahendra Singh Dhoni not playing in the current series, he has surpassed Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar and current India captain Virat Kohli in a public survey.

According to a recent survey from the YouGov Influencer Index 2018, Dhoni has bagged the third spot in the list of most influential Indian personality. The 37-year old cricketer is only behind legendary actor Amitabh Bachchan and one of the leading actress of the Hindi film industry in Deepika Padukone.

In a Top-10 list which comprises of people only from Bollywood and the Indian cricketer team, Padukone is the highest-ranked female celebrity while Dhoni is the highest-ranked cricketer.

Among the other cricketers in Tendulkar and Kohli, they lie on No. 4 and 6 respectively. Between them is actor Akshay Kumar.

The awe-inspiring duo of Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan sit comfortably at No. 7 and 8 respectively, followed by the duo of actresses Alia Bhatt and Priyanka Chopra.

The survey clearly proves that Dhoni’s fan-following is one of the most passionate that you will ever come across for a cricketer. The facts that he is currently not a part of the Indian team for the T20I side or his poor form this year have no affect whatsoever on his fame.

Dhoni’s next international assignment will be the ODI leg of the ongoing India’s tour of Australia. The three-match ODI series will commence on January 12 next year.

The optimist in him is waiting for the day when Punjab Kings will win their maiden Indian Premier League title. When not watching cricket, he is mostly found in a cinema hall watching a Punjabi movie.
