RR vs MI Match Prediction

RR vs MI Match Prediction: The Sportsrush presents before you the Match Prediction of 36th match of IPL 2019.

The 36th match of the ongoing 12th season of the Indian Premier League will be played between Rajasthan Royals and Mumbai Indians at Jaipur tomorrow. While Royals are coming on the back of failing to chase a 183-run target against Kings XI Punjab at Mohali, Indians will be eager to continue their winning momentum on the back of two consecutive wins.

In the four home matches which Rajasthan have played this season, they have won only one and lost the other three. On the contrary, Mumbai have won three and lost only one match in all their away matches as of now.

RR vs MI – What numbers suggest?

In the 22 matches which Rajasthan Royals and Mumbai Indians have played so far, Royals have won 10 as compared to Indians’ 11 victories. However, Rajasthan have a significant lead while playing at home. In the seven matches at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium, Rajasthan have won five matches as compared to Mumbai’s two wins.

Another stat which favours MI’s chances ahead of tomorrow’s match is the fact that they have a better average score when it comes to matches between RR and MI. As compared to RR’s average score of 158 vs MI, MI has a better average score of 161.

RR vs MI – Paper value

In Jofra Archer, Rajasthan Royals have a deadly death bowling option. If Archer gets the required support from the other end, Royals should be able to put a halt to Indians’ power-house duo of Kieron Pollard and Hardik Pandya in the slog overs.

On the other hand, Mumbai Indians will expect tried and tested names in Jasprit Bumrah and Lasith Malinga to continue doing the same for them. While Mumbai’s batting unit looks better than Rajasthan on paper, it has it in it to be exploited. If Royals’ bowlers become successful in doing the same, it will predominantly assist their batsmen.

Barring Rajasthan Royals’ home record against Mumbai Indians, not much is currently in their favour ahead of tomorrow’s match. Therefore, it wouldn’t be wrong to say that Mumbai have the upper hand despite getting defeated by Rajasthan in their last encounter.
