Ruben Loftus-Cheek all but ensured three points at Stamford Bridge for Chelsea against Brighton with an insane curler.
Chelsea made a brilliant return to form at the Stamford Bridge as the side outclassed Brighton and Hove Albion.
After Olivier Giroud opened the goalscoring with a brilliant pass from Callum Hudson-Odoi, who made his first ever Premier League start in the game, Chelsea continued on their attacking rhythm in the second half.
Eden Hazard sent the defender flying and scored a brilliant goal from marginally inside the box.
However, the best goal in the night came from Ruben Loftus-Cheek, who curled a peach into the top corner of the goal to make it three for Chelsea.
There was little that the goalkeeper could do to stop the strike from the youngster.
This was Loftus-Cheek’s fifth Premier League goal of the season. Interestingly, he has made only two starts in the league this season.
Here’s the insane curler from the player:

With this goal, Chelsea have ensured three points against Brighton and have moved ahead of Manchester United, at fifth place in the Premier League.
The race for the top four grew intense after Solskjaer’s side conceded a shocking defeat to Wolves last night.
As Chelsea and Manchester United take each other on later in this month, both the side would aim to accumulate as many points as they possibly can. With Arsenal and Tottenham also in the race for the top-4, the season is poised for a close finish.

That’s Loftus-Cheek’s 5th PL goal this season. He has 2 PL starts.
Barkley PLUS Kovačić have 4 PL goals combined, in a combined 31 PL starts.
Drink. That. In.
